Event Brochure - Coffee Festival

A design exercise to create our own brochure for a fictional event. For my event a designed a brochure for a Coffee Festival to be hosted in Vancouver.

The design utilizes warm colours typically associated with coffee; such as browns, beiges, and chocolate. This in conjunction with green to tie into nature.

The overall brochure layout is meant to be easily digestible. I wanted the inner pannels to be cohesive instead of treated as seperate pages.

Minibook - Alice in Wonderland

A design exercise to create our own version of Lewis Caroll’s beloved novel; Alice’s Adventure in Wonderland.

As a part of my design, I wanted to create a more modern & simplistic version of the novel while still being recognizable. I made the choice, as many versions of the novel, feature very stylized fantasy-esque designs. Often times this has the effect of dating the design, or relegating it simply as a children’s novel.

As the novel is something beloved by children and adults alike, I wanted to make the cover art enticing for children while being subdued enough for adults.

Samples of the other pages in the book and back cover are located below in the slide show:
