Greenery Pavillion.

The Greenery Pavillion is a concept space designed for Holland Park. Designed for IAT 233: Spacial Design, the Pavillion is meant to be the ideal location for weddings, ceremonies and press conferences. The final design was created in Rhino and then rendered in Twin Motion

IdeatioN

The goal of the original design of the Greenery Pavillion was to create a space that fit into the existing design and aesthetic of Holland Park while also adding a unique presence to the space.

The initial design incorporates elements of panel and layered architecture of the original design. The design features independent walls, with primarily rectangular panels placed both horizontally and vertically to form roofs and enclosures. It utilizes basic elements of layered architecture by the creation of horizontal layers defined by vertical walls to provide a datum or reference for organizing composition.

Location

The Greenery Pavillion's location was chosen to be complementary to the preexisting amenities such as the large sports fields, basketball courts, a playground, and the Holland Garden. It is in close proximity to multiple walkways and is centrally located within the park. Despite its convenience, the location offers more privacy compared to other potential locations within the park as it backs onto mature evergreen trees that provide a natural barrier on one side. This makes it ideal for ceremonial events that require privacy or quietness.

Rendering

Rendered in the 3D modeling program Rhino. This shows the stages of modeling from the initial 3D base model to the final model with added textures and foliage.
